Booking & Cancellation Policy

These terms apply to all retreats from September 2026, with one exception.
The October 2026 retreat is offered under our Pay-it-Forward model and registrations for it are open. If you register for that retreat, your terms are a $300 registration fee, non-refundable, and a voluntary contribution after the retreat if it has brought you benefit. The terms below do not apply to you. If you are unsure which applies, email admin@kailash.co.
At Kailash Ashram, each booking is a sincere commitment. The following terms are shared to support clarity and mutual understanding for all participants.
Registration Fees
1. A registration payment secures your place: $500 for the standard fee, or the first $550 payment if you are on the payment plan. It forms part of your total retreat fee.
It is refundable in full within seven days of payment, for any reason and without explanation. After seven days it is non-refundable, because by then your place is held and the cost of filling it has been spent.
Cancellation
2. If you cancel more than 45 days before the retreat begins, everything you have paid is refunded except the registration payment.
If you cancel 45 days or less before the retreat begins, no refund is given. By that point the place has been held too long for another person to take it and the retreat has been costed and catered on the basis that you are coming.
Cancellations must be made in writing to admin@kailash.co. Refunds are processed within 14 days.
Payment plan
3. If you cancel, remaining scheduled payments stop from the date we confirm the cancellation, and the refund rules above apply to what you have already paid.
If you attend a retreat, the full fee is owed whether or not the scheduled payments have finished. Payments continuing after a retreat are a convenience, not an option to discontinue.
Moving to a later Retreat
Inside 45 days a place cannot be moved.
Suitability
5. We connect with all participants prior to the retreat.
If we find that the retreat may not be suitable for your current situation, we reserve the right to cancel your booking. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
Retreat Minimum Numbers
6. We reserve the right to cancel a retreat if minimum participant numbers are not met.
In this case, all payments will be fully refunded.
Medical Cancellations
7. If you are unable to attend due to personal medical reasons, no refund will be provided.
We strongly recommend having appropriate travel insurance to cover such situations.
Force Majeure
8. No refunds will be issued for cancellations or changes arising from events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
natural disasters, adverse weather, acts of God, war or threat of war, civil unrest, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, or transport closures.
Ashram Guidelines
To maintain the sanctity of the space:
- This is a strictly drug- and alcohol-free environment
- Respectful conduct is expected at all times toward staff and fellow participants
- Participants are expected to honour the discipline and intention of the retreat

Karma-Free Guarantee
If you complete a retreat and it fails to deliver what you were seeking, tell us and we will refund to your perceived value, excluding your registration payment. This applies once, to a retreat you have attended in full.
Retreat Access Program
If the fee is beyond your means, apply to the Kailash Foundation Retreat Access Program before registering.
Final Note
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances. Once a booking is made, it reflects a commitment not only to attend, but to honour the space being held for you.
