Retreat Fees at Kailash Ashram
Our standard 5-day / 4-night retreats are all-inclusive, with accommodation, meals and the complete retreat program included in your fee.
We want you to know exactly what your retreat will cost before you book, while still providing flexibility for those who need time to pay.
Standard Retreat Fee
$1,995 per person
Secure your place with a $500 deposit
Your $500 deposit reserves your place on the retreat.
For the first 7 days after booking, your deposit is fully refundable, giving you time to make the necessary arrangements with work, family, travel and other commitments.
After this 7-day period, your booking is confirmed and our standard cancellation terms apply.
.
$1,495 balance
The remaining $1,495 is due 45 days before your retreat begins.
If you book within 45 days of the retreat, the full retreat fee is due at the time of booking (or if needed, you may elect for a payment plan which may continue after your retreat.)

Flexible Payment Plan
$2,200 per person
If paying the retreat fee in one larger balance doesn’t suit your circumstances, you can spread the cost over four simple monthly payments.
4 monthly payments of $550
Your first payment is made when you book and secures your place.
The remaining three payments are automatically processed monthly.
Depending on when you book, some payments may fall after the retreat has taken place. This means that even a last-minute retreat booking may still be more accessible on a payment plan.

+ 3 monthly payments of $550
$2,200 total
There is no need to apply for the payment plan. Simply choose the payment option that works for you when you book.

Charity Registration & Use of Funds
Kailash Ashram is operated by the Kailash Foundation, a not-for-profit and ACNC registered charity. Retreat fees are used to cover the direct retreat costs like food and utilities as well as the upkeep and overheads involved in operating a full time ashram (such as insurance, rates and maintenance).
Surplus funds in excess of costs are retained within the organisation to support our charitable purpose; the sharing of traditional meditation and yoga with those Souls in need, in particular, Veterans, emergency service workers, those who serve and their impacted families.
Volunteers
All facilitators and retreat support staff, including David and Raya, are volunteers and offer their support to Kailash Ashram without financial compensation as an act of spiritual service (karma yoga.)
Pay-It-Forward Transition
Between 2024 and 2026 Kailash Ashram operated on a donation model called Pay-it-Forward. Bookings made under this arrangement retain the terms of those bookings. As of Sep 2026, the Kailash Foundation board has decided to transition the ashram to a fixed fee payment model to ensure the ongoing financial viability of the Ashram and to enhance the clarity and ease of booking for potential retreat students.
For those who are of limited means who were drawn to the accessibility of the Pay-it-Forward program, we now offer subsidised retreat access for eligible participants through the Kailash Foundation Retreat Access Program.
Your Questions, Answered
If you are still unsure about booking a retreat, you are welcome to arrange a time to talk to David, Raya and our admin support.
Simply email admin@kailash.co requesting a call back, and we will arrange a time for a pre-retreat call to answer any questions.
On the call we are happy to discuss your suitability to attend the retreat, and how the program may benefit your unique circumstance.
There is no charge for this call, and no question is too small to ask.
Karma-Free Guarantee
After 8 years and nearly 50 retreats with over 500+ happy participants, we stand behind our retreats.
Our guarantee to you;
If you attend a retreat and it fails to deliver exactly what you were seeking, for whatever the reason, we are happy to offer you a refund to your perceived value (excluding your $500 deposit.)
Why?
Simply; we don’t want the karma of a single unhappy retreat student.
We trust that for those who are unsure, nervous or a little sceptical, that the Karma Free guarantee enables you to book with confidence knowing that there isn’t much to lose (and so much to gain!)
Financial Assistance
Kailash Foundation exists in part to help make meaningful retreat experiences accessible to people who may otherwise be unable to attend due to genuine financial hardship.
A limited number of supported retreat places may be available through the Kailash Foundation Retreat Access Program.
Every application is read and answered and either full or partial scholarships are awarded privately.
